WHAT ARE INFRARED RAYS
Infrared rays are electromagnetic waves, which have a wavelength between 7,600 and 150,000 A °. They are called infrared due to the proximity to the red color of the visible light spectrum. Infrared rays are rays that are part of the light to which our body is exposed every day (such as ultraviolet rays): they represent about 50% of the rays emitted by the sun and for this reason they are also called calorific rays. They were discovered over 200 years ago by William Herschel, one of the most famous astronomers of the 18th century; their knowledge has opened new frontiers in astronomy, but also in the infinite applications of electronics (think only of remote controls). Two centuries later, the science of well-being has discovered the remarkable benefits of using infrared rays in the aesthetic and therapeutic fields (infrared therapy), exploiting the biological effects produced by the irradiation of tissues.

INFRARED RADIATION AND SKIN HEALTH .. WRINKLES GOODBYE?
According to a study by Professor Luis Dubartret, director of the dermatoliogia department at the Saint Luis Hospital in Paris, infrared rays protect the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays, such as premature aging and skin cancer. The photobiological radiation passes through all the layers of the epidermis without affecting them. In fact, thanks to a particular, very selective wavelength, the photobiological radiation gives off heat only when it reaches the fibroblasts: these cells of the dermis, once hit, undergo a sort of shock that gives them an electromagnetic charge, stimulating them to produce more collagen. The subcutaneous voids are filled by making the overlying skin stretch.
